Jameel Journeys

In collaboration with Crossway Foundation, Art Jameel organizes ‘Journeys’ for young artists and creative professionals from the Gulf region to travel to and explore other countries, where they will have the opportunity to learn about those countries’ indigenous arts and culture.

In May 2016, six young Saudi photographers were selected to travel to Istanbul, Cappadocia, and Ankara to explore traditional Turkish arts and culture.

In partnership with Crossway Foundation, a London-based charity delivering arts and education initiatives for young people across the UK and the Middle East, Art Jameel organises ‘Journeys’ for young artists and creative professionals from the Gulf region to travel to and explore other countries, where they will have the opportunity to learn about indigenous arts and culture. During the journeys the budding artists visit arts spaces, attend workshops, meet local artists and produce new creative work.
